Day 1

Kota Kinabalu - Keningau - Sapulut  He Ken Restaurant

  • Transfer to 4x4 vehicle and drive to Labang Village Jetty. Boat ride to the Pungiton Camp takes about 15 minutes,
  • Late lunch at Pungiton Camp,
  • Caving for 2 hours in Pungiton Caves,
  • Dinner at 7:00 p.m.,
  • Night at Pungiton with the harmonious sounds of the river and forest.

Day 2

  • Breakfast at 7:00 a.m.,
  • Depart at 8:00 a.m. by boat to the Labang Village and transfer to the 4x4 vehicle to the Tataluan Village Jetty,
  • Enjoy the boat ride of about 15 minutes to the Batu Punggul Pinnacle located in the pristine rainforest (class 4 forest reserve),
  • Trek to the base of the Batu Punggul Pinnacle while enjoying the rich fauna and flora, 
  • Guests are encouraged to assess the conditions of the rock and decide if climbing it is for you. Every guest is provided with a guide who is familiar and experienced climbing the rock. Please respect the rock and follow the instructions of the guide, 
  • At the top of the pinnacle, you will have the beautiful panoramic views of the pristine rainforest and Tataluan Village downstream of the Sapulut river, the jetty area. The trekking and the rock climbing will take on average about 2 hours,
  • After returning to the Batu Punggul Jetty you will be treated with picnic lunch at the reception hut or the river pebble beach (low river level only), 
  • Depart for the Kabulongou Waterfall Camp. The journey will take about 1 hour which include tarvelling with 4x4 vehicle to the Saupi hanging bridge parking area and the hanging bridge across the Pampangon river measuring about 170 meters long built by the participating villagers. Trekking to the Kabulongou Waterfall Camp takes about 40 minutes. You will be treated with coffee/tea and homemade buns upon arrival, 
  • Check in into the huts provided with tents complete with mats, pillows, and sleeping bags,
  • Relax and soak in the waterfall to chill down after the Batu Punggul climb and trekking, 
  • Dinner at 7:00 p.m.,
  • Relax and night at Kabulongou Camp with the harmonious sounds of the waterfalls and forest surrounding the camp.

Day 3

  • Breakfast at 7:00 a.m.,
  • Participating in the Rehabilitation activities of the Kabulongou Earth :

> Silviculture - planting of at least 1 endemic tree (plant) seedling to rehabilitate the logged over forest,> Agroecology - planting of at least 1 seedling of selected high value fruit tree to add value to the logged over and denuded forest,

  • Trekking in one of the trails developed by the villagers to appreciate and enjoy the varied flora and fauna within the 1,000 acre rainforest. The trekking on average takes about 2 hours,
  • Lunch at 12:30 p.m.,
  • Relax at the waterfall. Soak yourselves at level 2 pool of the waterfalls, fish feeding at level 1 pool. This is part of the Kabulongou river conservation to reinstated the fish population in the river, 
  • Dinner at 7:00 p.m., 
  • Relax for the second night at the Kabulongou Waterfall camp.

Day 4

  • Breakfast at 7:00 a.m.,
  • Fish feeding at the Pampongon river. This is part of the conservation activities to reinstate the fish population which has been over fished and compromized by the pollution from upstream of the river. Guests can purchase the fish feed which is available to feed the fish,
  • Fishing along the river bank of the Pampongon river is restricted to using fishing lines and hooks only. Fishing is only opened to tourists. The catch is weighed and paid and the proceeds is placed in the Pampongon river conservation fund, 
  • Lunch at 12:30 p.m.,
  • Checking out from the Kabulongou Waterfall camp and departing for the MunorAulai Guesthouse in the Romol Village,
  • Upon arrival at the MunoAulai Guesthouse coffee and tea with homemade buns is served, 
  • Short briefing of MunorAulai Integrated Farm, followed by a visit to the farm at 5:00 p.m. (subject to weather condition). Otherwise the farm visit is postponed to the next morning,
  • Dinner at 7:00 p.m.,
  • The cultural night activities starts at 8:00 p.m. which include rice wine or tapioca wine tasting and Murut traditional dance performance by the children of the Romol Village,
  • Night at the MunorAulai Guesthouse with serenades from nature and surrounding farm.
